Nicky Tjonadi was an important figure in Indonesian kart racing who spent decades developing the sport, organizing races and mentoring young drivers. He wanted to develop kart racing in Indonesia to give young racers better training, guidance and opportunities to improve and compete at higher levels. Through his dedication, he helped many young racers develop their skills, with some becoming champions and representing Indonesia internationally. His passion for racing also influenced his family, as his daughter, Clio Tjonadi, followed in his footsteps and started karting at the age of eight.
