Nowadays, while other modern materials such as glass and metal have gained popularity among the people for its practical and aesthetic benefits porcelain vases however are still being widely used today and is considered as premium choice for a vase.

Antique blue and white porcelain decoration first became widely used in China in the 14th century. The white and blue colour scheme was a popular choice among porcelain vases back then as its palette traditionally represented high social status, spiritual purity, and enduring wealth. This makes it highly attractive to twentieth-century collectors from all around the globe.

Significance of the colour:

Using White for the Base symbolises purity, virtue, transparency, and a clean moral character.

Cobalt Blue, on the other hand, is usually associated with the heavens, infinity, and mysticism.

In the background, the tall mountains symbolises strength and stability while being a connection to nature. The flowing river represents life, prosperity, and harmony. The female figures, in their elegant blue robes, symbolize elegance and dignity. Together, these elements create an ideal landscape that reflects traditional Chinese values of balance, beauty, and good fortune.
